FRIENDS OF THE EARTH | BIG ASK GIG PROGRAMMES
We were commissioned by Friends of the Earth to design exclusive gig programmes and pledge cards for The Big Ask Live event which took place in London's Koko.
___ The limited edition programmes were produced in two different versions. The main programme was a limited, hand-numbered edition of 1,000 which was sold during and after the benefit concert.
___ A second edition (with minor differences, including running times at the back) was produced for the VIP guests.
___ Bands performing at this fund-raising event included Thom Yorke and Jonny Greenwood of Radiohead who played a fantastic acoustic set, Kate Rusby and Gruff Rhys of Super Furry Animals and hosted by Simon Amstell.
___ FL@33-designed visuals of the climate change campaign The Big Ask were also shown on screens at the bar area and projected after the gig onto the main screen on stage.

FRIENDS OF THE EARTH | CLIMATE CHANGE VISUALS
FL@33 was commissioned by Friends of the Earth to illustrate 15 climate change solutions for their The Big Ask campaign.
___ We were asked to translate all their research into an understandable, visual language that is accessible to the general public – and of course key politicians and campaigners.
___ There were two different categories to focus on – how to safe energy and how to generate it.
___ Some of the solutions like switching off your television set (instead of leaving it at stand-by) were relatively easy to illustrate while others were rather abstract at first – simply because certain technologies were being developed and did not quite exist yet at the time.
___ The illustration series was applied across many media including projections at The Big Ask Live benefit concert in London, the Welsh and English postcard set, English and bilingual posters, etc...
___ A set of eight perforated postcards and campaign posters were all printed on recycled, uncoated stock. So were the programmes and pledge cards we created for their campaign's The Big Ask Live event.
